Mhow: After the answer copies of BBA 3rd year of BR Ambedkar University of Social Sciences (BRAUSS) were found in the dustbin, members of ABVP have compared this like NEET scam and have protested against the university administration. All responsible officials are trying to cover up the matter and none seems interested in taking action against people behind it.
Registrar RK Baghel told media persons that notices have not issued to anybody for the lapse but he has formed a committee including assistant registrar Sandhya Malviya, Prof Sunil Goyal and Masani for finding out the truth behind the scam. It is to be noted that Sandhya Malviya was the officiating registrar when the scam occurred and Prof Goyal has come on deputation from Barwani, thus there could be a question mark on the very formation of the committee.
Later, taking to media persons, Prof Verma accepted that it was a very serious matter and said that he will initiate proceedings against it.
After fining answer sheets in the dustbin, ABVP protested for initiating a high level impartial probe in the matter and for strict action against the culprits of the scam. They handed over the memorandum to the acting VC Dr DK Verma in this regard. Before that, students kept pressing for calling Deepak Karbhari who is responsible for the confidential section, which deals with the safe custody of the question papers and answer copies but when Karbhari didn’t turn up, Prof Verma had to interact with the agitating students and received the memorandum. They also demanded for imposition of section 44 in the university, by which the higher education department takes the matter of this university in its hands and is even to remove the Vice Chancellor Ramdas Atram from the post.
As per the sources, BBA examination was held in April and when students registered their protest about the question papers being out of their syllabus, university administration cancelled the examination and the answer copies were deposited with the responsible persons. Despite that, the copies were found in the garbage in torn condition in the faculty building.
As per the sources in the university, whole staff often says that the whole system of the first social science university named after architect of Indian constitution Dr BR Ambedkar has collapsed since Dr Ramdas Atram took over as VC here.
